Daisy Grenade Turns The Foundry into a Full Blown Riot

On June 18th, Daisy Grenade took over The Foundry at The Fillmore in Philadelphia, and the room never stood a chance. From the first note of “A Beautiful Woman Is A Weapon, I Guess That’s Why They Call Her A Bombshell,” the energy was already at a level most shows never reach.
“Are You Scared Of Me Yet?,” “Don’t Sweat It,” and “Got It Bad” kept the room moving without letting up. By “Emily” and “Cult Classic,” the crowd had fully given themselves over to it, and then it happened: the first crowdsurfers of the night. The Foundry was officially unhinged.
“How to Hide a Body” kept the chaos going before the band shifted gears with a cover of No Doubt’s “Hella Good,” which landed exactly as well as you would hope. Then came the unexpected guest appearances. Dan Campbell of The Wonder Years joined for “Rent to Own,” and the crowd lost it completely. Having one of the most beloved figures in Philadelphia punk, AND co-writer of the song, step onto that stage mid-set was the kind of moment that makes a show impossible to forget. Vienna Vienna joined shortly after for “Liquor and Kerosene,” keeping the collaborative energy rolling through the back half of the set.
“Guts,” “Real Horror Show,” and “So Happy” closed out the main set before the first encore brought “Girls Are So Lucky,” “Riot,” and “Sick in the City.” Then Daisy Grenade came back out for a second encore, closing the night with “Hypocrite” in a room that had spent the last two hours proving exactly why live music still matters.
Daisy Grenade didn’t just play The Foundry. They made sure nobody forgot it.
