WMSC Earns Seven National Student Production Award Nominations from College Broadcasters, Inc.

MONTCLAIR, N.J. — 90.3 WMSC-FM, the student-run radio station of Montclair State University, has been named as a finalist in seven categories of the College Broadcasters, Inc. 2026 National Student Production Awards, including Radio Station of the Year.
The nominations span news, sports, and digital & special programming, reflecting the range of work coming out of the station this year. WMSC is a finalist for Radio Station of the Year and Best Student Media Website, alongside two nominations apiece in Best Special Broadcast and Best Hard News Reporting, plus a nomination for Best Audio Interview.
“Our students continue to produce exceptional content and storytelling that earn national recognition year after year”, said General Manager Anabella Poland. “These nominations are a testament to their talent and hard work, and to the opportunities Montclair State University and the College of Communication and Media provide for students to create, experiment and grow as storytellers and content creators”

- Best Hard News Reporting, On the Road: Immigration
College Broadcasters, Inc. is a national nonprofit serving college and high school radio, television and digital media programs. Its National Student Production Awards recognize student work across more than two dozen categories in audio, video and multimedia, drawing entries from campus media outlets nationwide. Winners are announced each year at the National Student Media Convention, which convenes student broadcasters, advisers and industry professionals from across the country.
Winners will be announced at the 2026 National Student Media Convention in Philadelphia. WMSC will share results as they’re announced.
