The End of Summer Shore Extravaganza
Written by Jeff Ramella on August 24, 2019
Montclair State University students will celebrate the end of summer with a live radio broadcast on Wednesday, August 28th, 2019 from 1-4 p.m. in Seaside Heights, NJ. Hosted by Station Manager Hiral Patel, Assistant Program Director AJ Melillo and News Director Stephen Rumbolo. The broadcast intends to give the listeners a glimpse at this iconic summer destination told by local politicians, store owners, residents and visitors.
The broadcast will feature interviews with Seaside Heights’ mayor Anthony E. Vaz, a conversation with Greg Kohr owner of Kohr’s Frozen Custard on the 100th anniversary of the iconic shop, local artists JP & Jake Laskella and many more.
This is the third time the radio station heads to the Jersey Shore for a broadcast and it has become a tradition and a great team building activity for the student management team.
“The end of summer is both a time of excitement and anticipation for most students, therefore we felt it would be the perfect time to bring the team back together one week before classes actually begin” said Hiral Patel, student station manager.
