WMSC FM Announces New Podcast “Counseling Outside the Lynes”
MONTCLAIR, September, 9th, 2019— WMSC FM, the voice of Montclair State announces the launch of a new podcast. “Counseling Outside the Lynes”, is a podcast about supporting and encouraging growth in today’s children, and it seeks to help parents navigate through common social, emotional and behavioral issues while maximizing available resources and academic treatments.

Hosted by Misty Lynes, an elementary school counselor and educator in Northern New Jersey, the six-episode series covers complex topics such as the Harassment, Intimidation and Bullying Law, Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) and children mental health, as observed by experts in the field of education.
“I’m hopeful that Counseling Outside the Lynes will provide some good information for parents, and perhaps a few topics worth debating,” said Misty Lynes, host and elementary school counselor. “The invite to collaborate on this podcast was unexpected, but I really enjoyed the opportunity to share my expertise and experience while collaborating with students and staff at Montclair State”
