Top Artists to See at Gov Ball 2026

Written by on June 1, 2026

Every year, the Governor’s Ball in Flushing Meadows Corona Park in Queens, New York delivers one of the most eclectic lineups in music. Massive pop stars share the stages with underground innovators, viral sensations that blew up overnight, and future festival headliners. While there are so many artists worth catching over the weekend, here’s our rundown of who we’re most excited for!

Lorde

Few artists can command anticipation quite like Lorde can. After helping define the alternative pop genre throughout the 2010’s and returning with an entirely new creative vision, her Gov Ball set feels like it will be one of the festival’s defining moments. Whether she’s delivering emotional anthems like “Man of the Year” or “David,” powerful hits like “Man Of The Year,” or entirely new material; Lorde has a way of making even the largest of crowds feel shockingly intimate.

The Dare

No artists embodies New York’s indie nightlife revival quite like The Dare. Blending (admittedly) sleazy dance-punk with undeniable confidence, he’s becoming one of the biggest names in alternative music right now. Seeing him perform in New York feels like less of seeing a festival set, and more like stepping right into the center of a cultural movement.

Stray Kids

When it comes to live performances, few groups can match the intensity of Stray Kids. As a previous pit attendee of their dominATE tour in 2025, I can certainly attest to that. The global K-pop powerhouse has built a massive reputation for explore choreography, massive production value, and a connection with their fans that transcends even language barriers. Their Gov Ball appearance represents one of the most anticipated sets of the weekend, and a rare opportunity for many festival-goers to experience what K-pop is like for the very first time.

Audrey Hobert

Audrey Hobert’s rise to fame has been impossible to ignore. Armed with sharp songwriting, relatable storytelling, and an effortlessly charismatic presence, she’s becoming one of the most exciting newcomers of the indie-pop scene. With both her fanbase and catalog growing rapidly, Gov Ball offers her the perfect stage to prove she’s more than an artist on the rise.

2hollis

2hollis is one of those artists that isn’t simply bound to one genre. Mixing elements of hyperpop, rap, electronic music, and internet culture, he’s becoming one of the most fascinating artists emerge from the underground music scene. His performances are nothing short of chaos, unpredictability, and impressiveness. That makes him one of the artists we’ve been waiting to witness in a festival setting.

Wet Leg

Since bursting into the music scene with their self-titled debut, Wet Leg has proven they’re more than a social media success story. Their blend of witty lyricism and indie-rock vibes translates amazingly to the live stage. Their set will for sure be filled with singalongs, sharp humor, and some of the weekend’s most fun crowd moments.

Jane Remover

Few artists are pushing boundaries quite like Jane Remover recently. Pulling elements from shoegaze, hyperpop, emo, electronic music, and experimental production, their catalog consistently challenges expectations while keeping that raw, emotional grit. As alternative music keeps evolving on the internet, Jane Remover sits at the forefront of that movement.

JENNIE

Fresh off her year-long run of establishing herself as a global superstar and successful solo artist, JENNIE arrives at Gov Ball with an undeniably powerful momentum. Her stage presence has made her one of the most captivating performers in contemporary pop, and her solo material offers an opportunity to showcase a different side of her artistry and connect with her on a deeper level. Expect a massive crowd and one of the most eye-catching sets of the weekend.

Hot Mulligan

If you’ve spent any time at all in the modern pop-punk or emo scene, you’ve likely hear the name Hot Mulligan. Their emotionally changed songwriting and energetic liv shows have earned them one of the most devoted fanbases within their genre. Festival crowds have a tendency to embrace their cathartic energy, and their Gov Ball set will be nothing short of that. Their set is a must-see for anyone looking to scream along to music with thousands of strangers.

Fcukers

Few music acts have generated as much buzz in the underground scene as much as Fcukers recently has. Their combination of dance music, indie influences, and raw live energy has turned them into one of the most exciting breakout acts. Playing Gov Ball feels like a natural next step for them, and we’re eager to hear their club-like sound translate to a festival crowd.

Slayyyter

Slayyyter has spent years carving out her own space within pop music, blending y2k aesthetics with club-ready production. Her performances are consistently high-energy celebrations of pop excess in the best possible way. With an ever-growing catalog of fan favorites, and a reputation for delivering memorable live sets, she’s set out to bring one of the weekend’s biggest parties.

Final Thoughts

One of the best parts of Gov Ball is discovering artists alongside the ones you’ve been waiting to see for months. While headliners will undoubtedly draw massive crowds, some of the festival’s most memorable moments will come from the acts that are making their case as future stars.

From Pop icons like Lorde and JENNIE to genre-bending innovators like Jane Remover and 2hollis, this year’s lineup offers a snapshot of where the music industry is headed. More underground, unique artists and less corporate BS. If these artists are any indication of how Gov Ball 2026 will be, this will for sure be a weekend worth remembering.
