Small Set, Big Impact: Her Side of the Bed at Starsighted Super Jam

Opening a bill at Asbury Lanes is no small task, but Her Side of the Bed did it just right for the Starsighted Super Jam. Their set was packed with enough energy and charm to immediately pull the room in.
Starting with a cover of “Billie Toppy” by Men I Trust and an unreleased song, “Mac DeMarco,” the band quickly established their laid-back yet magnetic stage presence. These songs blended naturally into their own material, making the transition feel seamless and giving the audience a clear sense of the man’s sound.
Tracks like “Intertwined” and their new single “Daisy Mae” (out June 26th!) stood out as highlights, balancing soft, emotional songwriting with a confidence that kept the crowd engaged.

One of the most exciting moments came with “Cool With It,” a song the band has shared they are currently recording! It gave the audience a glimpse into what’s next for them. There’s always something special about hearing unreleased material live, and this one felt like a strong sign of where they’re headed.
They closed out with “Ur Special” and a cover of Paparazzi by Lady Gaga, ending the set on a fun, unexpected note that had the room fully locked in.

For an opener, Her Side of the Bed made a lasting impression. Their mix of originals, covers, and unreleased music gave the set variety, while their easy chemistry onstage made it feel natural from start to finish. If this set was any indication, they’re a band worth keeping an eye on.
