Heavy Fog interferes with day 2 of the Bethpage Air Show

May 26 is the second day of a two-day air show headlined by the United States Navy Blue Angels at Jones beach in Long Island during Memorial weekend.

The day-long event began at 10:00 a.m and slowly introduced helicopters, fighter jets until 11:30 a.m when heavy fog began to set in. Republic Airport also faced clouds which forced changes to the Sunday schedule according to an article by Newsday. 

The flag drop and a Farmingdale State College Aviation Center flyby were canceled according to the source. 

This weekend also celebrated the show’s 20th anniversary.
