April DJ of the Month: Earl Spence

Congratulations to MSU junior Earl Spence for being WMSC’s DJ of the Month for April!

Earl, a Sports Communication major, has been a part of WMSC since his freshman year here at
Montclair. Since joining, Earl has been involved in the sports team, doing play-by-play or color
commentary for MSU sporting events.

In an interview with our news team representative, Jake Pino, Earl mentions how WMSC stood
out to him during his college search, “I saw the radio station here. And then we’ll be able to
accomplish is honestly the best for college-wise. And I was like, oh yeah, it’s a place I want to
be at.”

Earl also recalls some of his favorite memories with the station. “When I’m in the studio,
sometimes we have like a long Saturday football game for like three hours. And you have your
friends in there. When the game keeps going on, we like to talk, make jokes, and have fun.”
