VANA Turns Allentown Into Controlled Chaos: Live at Archer Music Hall

On May 28th, VANA took over Arrow at Archer Music Hall in Allentown, Pennsylvania, and made it very clear from the first note that this wasn’t going to be a relaxing concert experience. The alt-metal artist brought her signature high-energy, unpredictable show to a crowd that was more than ready to match her energy … and then some.
The 4-piece opened with “Pray” and “NOXIOUS,” immediately setting a dark and intense tone that had the room locked in immediately. By the time that “HARLEQUIN!” and “PLEASER” hit, the crowd had fully given into the chaos. “In Your Name” carried that same relentless energy before things escalated further with “Serpentine.” That was the moment of the night no one saw coming. VANA called for a wall of death, splitting the room in two before unleashing the track. The result was exactly as it sounds, so unhinged.
Before “BITE BACK,” she didn’t have the crowd cheering or singing; she had them barking. And they did it. Then, in a moment that can only be described as peak VANA energy, she brought an audience member up on stage to rip open a Magic: The Gathering pack, while playing a remix of the SpongeBob Stadium Rave song. The crowd lost it entirely. After that glorious detour, she was handed her SpongeBob guitar and asked the crowd if they wanted to hear some older material, which they obviously did.
“Crawling” brought a brief moment to breathe before “DIE FOR ME!” sent the pit into a bit of a sway that somehow felt both gentle and unhinged at the same time. Before the final stretch, VANA paused to deliver a message that shifted the room entirely, telling the crowd that they matter, that they have a place on this earth. It was the kind of moment that reminds you why live music exists.
“BEG!” and “Clandestine” closed out the night, with VANA asking everyone to put their flashlights up for the final song, turning Archer Music Hall into something that felt genuinely sacred after everything that came before it.
