Catch Your Breath performed alongside Kingdom of Giants and Alpha Wolf opening for Dayseeker on their Dark Sun Protocol Tour on October 13, 2024 at Brooklyn Steel.

Kingdom of Giants began the night and I’ve been obsessed with them ever since. They were incredibly fun to see live and it was my first time ever hearing of them. They performed a bunch of songs from their 2020 album Passenger, with “Wayfinder” becoming a new favorite of mine after their set was over.

I was completely blown away by Catch Your Breath’s set. Consisting of vocalist Josh Mowery, guitarist Teddy Herrera, bassist Cianan Madigan, and drummer Onell Hernandez, this Texas-based Hard Rock group is shaking up the scene with their unique approach to making music, setting them miles apart from any others. Opening with “Fade,” there was an insane amount of energy the second the band took the stage. Their setlist was incredibly packed, consisting mostly of songs from their debut record Shame On Me. I had the time of my life singing along to every word and watching those around me do the same. They sounded stellar live, with “21 Gun Salute” being the stand-out track that showcased the band’s individual talents perfectly, especially Mowery’s live vocals.

My favorite moment of their set was when they played their most popular track “Dial Tone” as the last song in their set. This was the song that introduced me to the band a few months ago, and hearing it live was incredible. My favorite part in particular was when the entire crowd could be heard singing the last few lines.

Before Dayseeker, Alpha Wolf made the entire place go absolutely crazy. Their energy was incredible, encouraging huge mosh pits, a wall of death, and as many crowdsurfers as humanly possible. Dayseeker was also absolutely fantastic. They had such a beautifully crafted stage design with a giant LED screen that showcased different visuals for each song on the set. “Neon Grave” was the final song of the entire night, perfectly bringing such a spectacular show to a close.
