Three Year Wait Is Almost Over for Queens of the Stone Age Fans, New Album Perfecth to Release

Written by on October 5, 2026

Fans of Queens of the Stone Age have been waiting for quite some time for a new album to drop from the band, with that wait coming close to an end with their new album’s release on the horizon. The album is produced by Matador Records, expected to release with 9 songs, and is going to drop on Oct. 30th.

For some fans of the band, the three year wait since their last album ‘In Times New Roman’ has been grueling. They can expect that wait to end by the month’s end, with Matador Records releasing their album Perfecth on the 30th of October.

So far the band has released 2 tracks that are going to be on Perfecth, those being ‘Insignificant Other’ and ‘Easy Street’.  The remaining tracks that have yet to be released are:

  1. Its Only Love
  2. Insignificant Other
  3. Where The Goth Girls At?
  4. Mono
  5. From the Cliff
  6. Sunday
  7. Easy Street
  8. Phantom Limb
  9. Run Away From The Mob

Insignificant other, according to band member Joshua Homme through label Matador is “A song about distance”, and that it’s “About how someone can be your entire world only to simply vanish. And about the strange vertigo of being on the receiving end of that”.  We are told this in the informational piece by the albums record label Matador, in their article on the piece.

Matador also tells us that the album itself will have each song being dedicated to describing a different kind of love, some for family, some for friends, and some for a significant other.  The band seems to want to lay these feelings on the table, and write about how they can affect someone’s life.

Homme also says that each song is “from a different world,” and tells listeners that is by design.  The goal of that choice in this album is “because it’s trying to stitch together all these emotions revolving around love, lust, foolishness, and the sort of wisdom that comes as a gift from all that”  Hommes tells awaiting fans.  Digging deeper into the album’s meaning, the record’s title stems from the notion that nothing can be “perfect”, so Homme titled the album Perfecth as a play on the word.

Finally, for those who are waiting for more than just listening to Queen’s work, once the album is released on Oct 30th, there will be physical copies of the album, on both a standard vinyl, and a CD as the album’s deluxe edition.

The highly anticipated work from Queen’s, marking their 9th completed album, is seeming to be a work filled with emotional depth and complexity.  Fans won’t have to wait much longer, so mark your calendar for the 30th of October for when Perfecth releases.
