Ricky Montgomery is an American singer-songwriter from Los Angeles, CA, although he spent his teen years in the Midwest. He is known for his hits “Like Without a Hook” and “Mr Loverman,” which went viral in 2020. Montgomery is currently on his 2024 U.S. Tour, The Rick Tour: Another Rick In The Wall, to play his incredible new tracks and beloved favorite hits. His new single, “It’s Ok To Cry” has been out since last month. While on tour, Montgomery sat down with WMSC Production Director Marissa Thorn and Promotions Director / Assistant Digital Marketing Director Shannon Daly, about his new music and tour. The interview was aired on our flagship music news show, Tunes On Tuesday. To listen to the full interview, tune in here!
Montgomery released his third studio album, Rick, in September last year. Joining him on tour is Nebraska-native singer-songwriter Noah Floersch. Montgomery and Floersch will be playing shows throughout the U.S. until March 23. Program Director Lara Ziccardi headed into Terminal 5 in NYC to photograph and catch the show!
As someone who found Montgomery through TikTok, I can confidently say he lives up to my expectations. His voice is incredible, and he has a great setlist that delivers new music and old favorites. I was surprised that “Line Without a Hook” was the first song on the setlist, as this is Montgomery’s top song. Joining him on “Line Without a Hook” was singer-songwriter mxmtoon. While I enjoyed most of the setlist, the two songs I enjoyed the most live were “Last Night” and “Cabo.”

Noah Floersch is an indie singer-songwriter from Nebraska. Floersch released his most recent album, Noah, last October. Floersch is known for his hit “Ghost of Chicago,” which went viral on social media. He had a very authentic and fun stage presence with a voice to match. One of my favorite moments of Floersch’s set was went he sang to the crowd right at barricade.
