Paper Mill Playhouse, the Tony Award-recognized regional theater, began their 86th season in Millburn, NJ, on October 6th with the opening night of Jersey Boys and WMSC was in attendance.
Jersey Boys kicked off their 24-25 season, now through November 3rd, with Irving Berlin’s White Christmas to follow from November 27 to December 29, and Mystic Pizza, Take The Lead, and Disney’s The Little Mermaid in 2025.
Under the direction of Michael Bello (We Are The Tigers), the Jersey Boys cast includes Daniel Quadrino (Newsies The Musical) as Frankie Valli, Ben Diamond (Newsies The Musical at TUTS) as Bob Gaudio, Robert Lenzi (Tina: The Tina Turner Musical) as Nick Massi, Jake Bentley Young (The Karate Kid) as Tommy DeVito, Nick Duckart (Come From Away national tour) as Gyp DeCarlo, and Jeremy Gaston (Aladdin) as Bob Crewe, with Amber Ardolino, Kelly Belarmino, Holli’ Conway, Hugh Entrekin, Kaitlyn Frank, Nathan Lucrezio, Andrew Martin Maguire, Jarran Muse, Tyler Okunski, and Reagan Pender.
The 2006 Tony Award-winning Best Musical follows the rise and fall of the iconic group, The Four Seasons. It follows the lives of the band’s members–Frankie Valli, Bob Gaudio, Tommy DeVito, and Nick Massi–as they work their way from singing under street lamps to international fame. Throughout the show, each member shares their perspective on the group’s successes, challenges, and personal struggles, all while featuring many of the group’s hits, including “Sherry,” “Big Girls Don’t Cry,” “Can’t Take My Eyes Off You,” “Dawn,” and “My Eyes Adored You.”
This show seamlessly blends the iconic music with each member’s personal stories. Jersey Boys at Paper Mill Playhouse is a must-see for both fans of the Four Seasons and newcomers alike, celebrating music, friendship, and drive, leaving you humming the tunes long after the final bows. Truly a must see!
