Red Bulls II Walk Over the Crew in Columbus

The Red Bulls II squad took a trip to Columbus, OH, and left more than satisfied. They took a comfortable 5-0 win over Columbus Crew II. The Red Bulls II had five separate goalscorers step up to the occasion that night. This includes standout Wiki Carmona, Frank Ssebufu, Matt Nocita logging his first ever goal, Ibrahim Kasule, and Mohammed Sofo with his first goal. A great win came with a huge setback for the Red Bulls. Starting keeper AJ Marcucci tore his ACL during the match. It’s unfortunate as he’s made a name for himself this season. He’s a big loss for the squad in the remaining matches of the 2023 season.
Red Bulls II play their next match Monday August 21st against the Atlanta United II at MSU Soccer Park. It will be a test for the Red Bulls going forward without their leader in net Marcucci denying shots. The Red Bull II currently sit in fourth place in the Eastern Conference with 41 points to their name.
