PRSSA 2025 Bateman team’s EveryLibrary, EveryVoice📖
Written by wmscweb on March 13, 2025
Did you know ‘Wicked’ is a banned book? The book everyone’s favorite musical in 2025 is based upon. It is originally ‘Wicked: The Life and Times of the Wicked Witch of the West’ and is a novel written by Gregory Maguire. No? Neither did we. A Montclair team of public relations majors is spreading awareness about libraries, banned books and censorship.
Montclair State University’s 2025 PRSSA Bateman Competition team launched their campaign, EveryLibrary, EveryVoice early 2025. Which is in support of EveryLibrary, a non-profit dedicated to supporting public libraries.
EveryLibrary, EveryVoice aims to raise awareness about the importance of public libraries and the role they play in communities. Libraries provide access to individuals of all backgrounds to books, resources, and information completely free of censorship. The campaign will highlight how libraries are essential in promoting diversity, equity and why their continued protection is vital.
The team consists of Montclair students Libby Brennan, Hallie Lippey, Mary Lage, Noelia Aguirre Reyes and Grace Velazquez.
The Montclair State University Bateman Team, EveryLibrary, EveryVoice, encourages individuals to join
the fight against censorship and to support libraries.
