Australian metalcore band Polaris brought their 2024 North American tour to New Jersey’s Starland Ballroom on September 13th. This tour lineup was insanely stacked with support from Nerv, Thousand Below, and blessthefall.

This was my very first time seeing Polaris, and it exceeded my expectations. I left this show with a burst of adrenaline and could not get over how much fun it was. From the moment they stepped onstage, the crowd was ready to go crazy. Whether it was through screaming along to the songs or participating in the many circle pits, the crowd at Starland Ballroom gave Polaris their all. Someone even got engaged in the pit!

Polaris was absolutely incredible live. They played a handful of songs from their 2023 album Fatalism, including some of my favorites “With Regards” and “Inhumane.” They also played a few tracks from their 2020 album The Death of Me and their 2017 album The Mortal Coil, and ended off the night with “The Remedy.” The band kept the crowd engaged all night, and you could feel the passion they have for performing. The production of the show was also amazing and really awesome to witness.

If there is one thing I learned after attending this show, it’s that I’m definitely a metalcore girl. Each band on this lineup was truly spectacular, and I left a bigger fan than I was when I walked in the venue. From Nerv’s opening set to until people were flooding into the parking lot to go home, the energy in the room was electric. Polaris put on a fantastic show and I can’t wait for the next time they travel back to the states.
