BERGEN- A 13-year old student was charged for giving marijuana gummy bear edibles to her classmates during the school day. Investigators found out the gummy bears were laced with marijuana after a student was tested at the hospital.
Police were called to the scene on February 8th, when a 14-year old girl began vomiting. The girl was then taken to the hospital and treated.
Sergeant Brian Metzler of the Fair Lawn Police Department said that the 13-year-old gave her classmate the edibles so that she would “stop her from stressing out.”
The girl also gave the gummy bears to other students during the day. The student was charged as a juvenile and her name will not be released.
