The Montclair State University shuttle service is in the process of adding digital signs at the shuttle stops. These include the following locations: Lot 60, Millicent Fenwick Hall, Count Basie Hall, Sinatra Hall, Hawk Crossing, Red Hawk Parking Deck, University Hall, Carparc Diem, Sam’s Place, and Bloomfield College.

The signs are powered by TripShot, and will display arrival times, current bus locations, service alerts, schedule changes, delays, and cancellations. The signage system is separate from NJ Transit’s information system. There are no plans for integration at this time.

Monica Smith, the Director of Transportation, said that, “The electronic signs are part of our initiative to improve visibility and awareness of shuttle operations across campus. We are currently in a beta testing phase and expect the system to be fully active soon. As we become more familiar with the platform, we plan to explore additional integrations with other campus communication and safety systems.”

The installation was paused due to snow removal and campus operations, but will be continued as soon as weather conditions allow.
