GIRLI Brings it’s just my opinion to Baby’s All Right

GIRLI played Baby’s All Right in Williamsburg on Thursday, June 11, taking the venue’s late slot with a set that didn’t start until 11 p.m. and ran just over an hour. The room was packed anyway.

The show marked the first date of the run with a full band behind her, and it came together only after she navigated the artist visa process to make the US tour happen at all. Landing during Pride, the timing worked in her favor.
The setlist leaned into her recent album it’s just my opinion, released about a month prior, but she pulled from across her catalog. Tracks from her 2021 EP Damsel in Distress and 2024’s Matriarchy made the cut, along with the standalone single “I Really Fucked It Up” and “Odd One Out,” reaching back to 2019. Seventeen songs total.

GIRLI has never been shy about using stage time to say something, and Brooklyn was no exception. Midway through the set she told the crowd: “If your friends are transphobes, then you’re not an ally.”
GIRLI’s US run continues through the summer. it’s just my opinion is out now.
