About
The ADJ Program is a five week course that is held twice a semester to train members of the station to become board-certified. It is a requirement in order to have a live show. The ADJ program is the most common way for undergraduate students to start getting involved in the station. ADJs learn how to operate the soundboard in our live studio and be an on-air personality, and can learn from current DJs. We invite students from all majors and disciplines to get involved.
The Requirements
Every ADJ is required to fulfill three things in order to qualify for testing.
> Ten hours of shadowing a current DJ on their show
> Three assignments for any 3 teams of the ADJ’s choice
> Three newscasts written by the ADJ and read on air with the help of a DJ or SMT member
The Test
After successfully fulfilling all the requirements, ADJs are allowed to sign up for their final test. This has two parts to it – the written test which is a 20-question MCQ and subjective test for 30 minutes. And an hour-long on-air portion which is proctored by an SMT member.
