MONTCLAIR, NJ-

After a tough three game skid, Montclair State Women’s Basketball got back on track with a statement win over the Ramapo Roadrunners. This was a must win game for the Red Hawks, as they only have two more regular season contests left to go. They got it done tonight in Bradley Center by a score of 60-53.

Star guard Nickie Carter led the way this evening. With a 25 point night, she was dominant and made plays all game offensively. Coach Harvey needed her standout player to go 36 minutes to get the win, Carter was ready for the test. She came, saw, and conquered this win.

Megan Duffy had a phenomenal two way game as well. Duffy dropped 13 points tonight, while she also secured a team high 10 rebounds. She was a force to be reckoned with on the glass during this contest.

As a unit the Red Hawks shot an efficient 78.9 percent from the line. More than 13 percent higher than their team’s season average. Made the easy look easy, something Harvey surely is happy about. They secured 10 more offensive rebounds than the Roadrunners as well. This led to second chance basket after second chance basket.

Overall, this was a game that the Red Hawks needed to get. They now move to 8-8 in the NJAC and 11-12 overall on the year.  It’s always nice to snap a multiple game losing streak, now let’s see if this win can be the start of a multiple game winning streak.
