Album Review: A Black Mile To The Surface from Manchester Orchestra

With Critics calling Manchester Orchestra’s new album “A Black Mile To The Surface” “their most confounding and thrilling work yet, with the most grandiose narrative concepts, production, and arrangements of their career,” I would have to agree 100%.

Along with their album comes strong impacting vocals by lead singer Andy Hull as can be seen in their top song of the album “The Gold” and in “The Maze” as well as the mellowness in “The silence” and in “The Parts”

As someone who just started listening to them for the first time, I can definitely say that I will continue doing so. Manchester Orchestra are a group of talented musicians whose music and lyrics are very meaningful.
