Montclair Goes Into The Forest

Mad Forest is a play centered around the lives of two families and their journey through the Romanian revolution in 1989. The play showcases the hardships of families and how they have to adapt to the changing times with the use of symbolism, stage direction, and set.

It also highlights the struggles of the common people, including the Securitate and soldiers who played crucial roles in the government and the revolution. This adds a sense of humility and empowerment to the stories that wouldn’t have been able to be told.

The enthralling acting demonstrated by the BFA acting students cast in the production entrance draws the audience in, allowing the power of the story to affect them deeply. Each actor has gone through hours of rehearsals and deep character development, which creates a stronger performance and connection between the characters and the audience. Each actor was tasked with finding a purpose for telling the story and finding a way to connect to it to add personal emotions and create an emotionally driven and honest performance, ultimately reaching a dramatic climax that you don’t want to miss.

This show can be seen from October 11th to the 18th in the recently reopened Fox Theater.
