World College Radio Day 2025

MONTCLAIR, NJ (September 26th, 2025) – 90.3 WMSC-FM will be participating in the 15th Annual World College Radio Day through the College Radio Foundation. Held on Friday, October 3rd, 2025, hundreds of college stations across the globe will join together to celebrate and appreciate radio.

 

“World College Radio Day is a time to celebrate all of the incredible work we do here. And just a chance to appreciate the opportunities that WMSC gives us and it shows us that radio is not dead,” said Chris Cirone, WMSC’s Programming and Production Director.

This year’s theme — “Tune Into the People” — is all about elevating everyday voices and stories. Every show and activity on our lineup reflects that mission in a different way.

Programming highlights include:

— “Let’s Sing Rash World College Radio Day Countdown” kicks off the celebration as DJ Rashed Potatoes counts down to midnight with live music and listener call-ins, Oct. 2, 11 p.m. to midnight.

— “Catfe with Montclair” this special edition of “Coffee with Montclair” takes the news crew to a local cat-filled lounge where community, relaxation, and the magic of adoption come together, 1 p.m. to 2 p.m.

— “The Airwave Exchange” -students from Montclair State University and William Paterson University’s radio stations come together for a cross-campus simulcast forum that’s about listening, learning, and sharing perspectives.

— “Zodiac Zone with Nicole Passero” offers listeners live astrological compatibility readings from Montclair-based astrologer Crystal B, 3 p.m. to 4 p.m.

— “Back to the Future” this special edition of the Sunday night alumni show brings back Tom Kaminski, Class of 1984 to the very place that launched his career in radio.
