Pray for the Wicked by Panic! At the Disco

Panic! at the Disco is pop-punk/pop-rock band originating from Las Vegas, Nevada. Over the years the band has gone from less rock to more pop to satisfy the industry’s wants. Its only member, Brendon Urie, is a flamboyant and wild lead singer. He isn’t afraid to hit the high notes. Pray for the Wicked is Panic! at the Disco’s sixth album. With Urie being the only official member of the band, he plays multiple instruments across different songs the album. These include guitar, bass, drums, and piano. This album also had the help of many additional musicians

Pray for the Wicked is not Panic’s greatest album. To set the scenery, this is an album that would only fit well at a party or concert. It has its ups and downs, but nothing in it makes it addicting. Its sound is nothing different from its last album Death of a Bachelor. This is not a negative connotation for those who are fans of it. If you are looking for a different sound, but the same familiarity with Pray for the Wicked then you won’t find it. Panic has clearly fled from their punk-rock roots and fully embraced the pop onslaught the industry has endured. This not an album that I would introduce fans to Panic! at the Disco 2.0. For those who are fans, it is an enjoyable listen, but nothing too exciting.
