3 Dollars perform in Debonair Music Hall, Teaneck, NJ – 3/28/25

I first discovered 3 Dollars at their performance at Kudo Society in 2023 – WMSC had the pleasure of hosting them for an episode of our live music performance show WMSC Unplugged, and I had the incredible displeasure of being out of town on that date. Disappointed, I welcomed them BACK to our studio the following year where my partner-in-musical-crime (and now music director) Amber Bintliff asked the inevitable question – Why three dollars?

The answer to that question is one I won’t spoil – You’ll just have to listen to their latest episode to find out the answer.

Having enjoyed their set and hoping to catch another one, I was so excited to see that all three dollars (maybe they are each 75 cents?) would perform at Debonair Music Hall in Teaneck, NJ! The Hoboken band would be the first on the lineup of bands supporting Vya’s debut album, “Instar.”

At the end of March, I joined many music lovers on a rainy Saturday night for a full roster of amazing performances.

3 Dollars set the tone for the show, killing it with their epic rock sound.

I have to admit, I thoroughly enjoy seeing bands in local venues, but I don’t always know the vibe before going in. This night, knowing how great 3 Dollars was, I loved seeing the audience reactions. They really have an incredible sound with each musician standing out in their own way. I left knowing that they gained a lot of fans that night and I already couldnt wait to see them again.

This was only the beginning of a great night of rock music, with ultra cool bands like Lying Season and One Hundred Thousand soon to follow. Each set with their own unique sound and style.

Closing out the night, I loved seeing another blue-haired kindred spirit in Vya dominate the stage, as the headliner celebrated their album release with both old and new fans cheering them on.

Needless to say, I will be on the lookout for future show dates from each and every one of the bands on this night’s lineup and I can’t wait to feel the same energy in their next venues!
