If you have never been on a roller coaster, surely you will have felt something similar after you hear Jeff Rosenstock’s album – Worry. The album starts slowly, twinkling, like an old broke down Chevy pick up, but when it gets going it doesn’t let down for anything, as if you got that old Chevy pickup to start and later came to the realization that the brakes were shot. This album packs tunes and lyrics that become a splendid mass that spills out into the room.
My favorite song on this album definitely has to be Rainbow, which had me missing Catch-22’s Keasbey Nights, a bit of a surprise because it sounds very different from the rest of the album. Much of the album is in true Rosenstock fashion, a really indescribable experience. This album is surely like many a roller coaster, not a one-time ride.
