With catchy lyrics and a strong vibrato, Sarah Packiam takes on the world with her madalina. Starting out writing songs at the age of 12, winning the National 2FM song contest at 14, and taking home second place representing Ireland in The Song Contest for Young People in Europe (S.C.Y.P.E.), Sarah has always been destined for stardom.
Sarah has worked with Grammy Award winning producer Tim Mitchell, and was part of Shakira’s promo tour in 2009, where she sung background vocals and played guitar and banjo. Sarah has also shared the stage with Carole King, Gloria Estefan, Queen Latifah, Ricky Martin, and opened up for Smashmouth and Jason Mraz.
WMSC had the opportunity in getting an exclusive interview with Sarah on January 27, 2016 as she called in on the Special Welcome Week Edition of The Goldmine with host, Ivan Arevalo. Sarah shared her experiences on getting started in the music world, watching her ideas come to life and her love for Ricky Martin.
Sarah’s first Independent CD “One for Two” was released in 2012, and her EP “Dream” was released in 2013 with the hit song “I Loved You First”. In 2014, she began writing, producing and recording her third studio album “Again” that was released in May 2015. “Again” contained fan favorites such as “Big World”, “Messed Up”, and “Silly Little Love Songs” and her most current hit “Sparks in the Current”.
Sarah is currently working on her next single as she explores the live music scene in Miami, Florida. She plans on hitting the road soon and getting back to performing live.
