Another rock luminary has left us way too soon. Scott Weiland, 48, of Stone Temple Pilot, Velvet Revolver and Scott Weiland & the Wildabouts died in his sleep while on his tour bus just hours before hitting the stage at Bloomington, MN. The cause of death has not been release although recorded calls from police tapes seem to indicate he went into cardiac arrest and died in his sleep. Weiland’s latest band, Scott Weiland and the Wildabouts, had been scheduled to perform Thursday evening in Minnesota. The call — between Minnesota’s Bloomington Police Department and the Hennepin County Sheriff’s Department — also reported Weiland as dead on arrival. WMSC’s The Morning Buzz remembered the rock star at the top of the show and played just the released police radio calls followed by his biggest hit “Plush”
