LIFE, ANIMATED based off the book titled, Life, Animated: A Story of Sidekicks, Heroes, and Autism, kicked off the Montclair Film Festival on April 29th. The documentary follows Owen Suskind, a young adult living with autism, and his journey on communicating with others using lines from Disney films after he lost the ability to communicate at the age of three.

Hours before opening night, director, Roger Ross Williams, told WMSC that Life Animated is a very different film compared to others, “This is a very inspirational and uplifting film as opposed to a film that is about despair and dread, it’s something that should be joyful and celebrated”.

LIFE, ANIMATED hits theaters nationwide on July 8, 2016 and remember to check out the Montclair Film Festival from now through May 8, 2016.
