Katie Begley is the station manager.
She’s a senior studying Communication Studies with a concentration in Public Relations. Katie has been apart of the station since her freshman year and it has become her second home. Part of her job is to oversee and work with all 8 directors, radio advisory board representatives, and DJ’s. Katie helps with daily operations of the station and deals with any hiccups that arise. Dick Hinchliffe is the General Manager.
He supervises the operations of WMSC. Dick teaches Introduction to Radio Programming and Production in the School of Communication and Media. As a radio station manager, producer and reporter, Dick has worked with students and professional colleagues at Bloomberg Radio, WNYC Radio, NPR, The Associated Press, CBS Radio News, and elsewhere. An English major, Dick earned his B.A. from Princeton University and his M.A. from Sussex University in England. With roots in the Boston area, he is often seen discussing bragging rights with student fans of NJ and NY teams. When he’s not listening to WMSC-FM, he can be found playing basketball, golf, and indoor and outdoor tennis.
Mike Bufis is production director.
He is a Junior at Montclair State University and a Television & Digital Media major with a concentration in Audio Production. He is also
one of the DJs. He hosts a metal show called “To The Core” Tuesday nights from 7pm-10pm where he features bands such as Avenged Sevenfold, Metallica, Black Veil Brides, Trivium, and many more. Mike is also a big Marvel comics fan, and his favorite characters are Thor and Deadpool.
Adam Egizi is our promotions director.
He is a junior at Montclair State studying film-making. He has been apart of the radio station since his freshman year and hosts his own show, Wolf Radio, on Wednesdays at 4pm. If you are looking to get promote a venue, a specific concert or an event, please feel free to email him.
Sofia Chavez is web director.
Sofie is a junior studying broadcasting and has been apart of the station since her freshman year. She enjoys long walks on the beach, plays harmonica and hates tomatoes. Sofie enjoys music and talk and cohosts her show “Salsa & Chicks” with Kristina Farrell every Thursday night from 10-1am. When she forgets to turn her swag off, you can find her on a laptop putting together this website.

“Bobby” Robert J. Cahill is a Radio Advisory Board Member and EDM Director.
He is a “Super” Senior with a dual major in Communications and History. He hosts his own show “Medieval Radio” (Fridays 4-7pm) which broadcasts the newest and best Electronic Dance Music (EDM) from around the world. Bobby formerly had a show named “Phoenix Rising” which featured many different guests as well as a different genre of music every hour. He hates haircuts.
Joe DeGroot is music director.
Joey is a senior studying English with a minor in Creative Writing. He’s been with the station since his freshman year and is the host of Subterranean Homesick Radio on Tuesdays 4-7 pm. Joe is a
musician who plays in the bands Rabbit Troupe and Makeout Vertigo, among others. If you’re also in a band or know a band and would like to get their CD played on WMSC, give it to Joe and he’ll make sure it
gets played.
Elena Badillo is programming director.
Elena is a senior studying Communications Studies with a concentration in Speech and Anthropology Minor. She enjoys listening to music, witty banter, and watching goats scream like humans. She also hosts “Thirsty Thrursday” every Thursday from 4-7pm where you could listen to some great tunes and eclectic talk.
